As companies strive to cut costs across each and every department, IT managers are forced to do battle on multiple fronts. Keeping systems online, updated and malware-free is no longer enough—now IT managers are under increasing pressure to keep departmental costs down and add value to the organization’s bottom line.

As much as 80 percent of IT’s budget can go toward maintenance, which makes thin computing a cost-saving choice for more and more organizations. Due to their lack of failure-prone mechanical parts, thin-computing devices have been shown to be up to nine times more reliable than desktop PCs. Companies that have adopted the thin computing solution have cut help desk calls dramatically, freeing up IT personnel to work on technological innovation rather than scrambling to keep systems up and running.

Watch Wyse and IDC Vice President and Analyst, Bob O’Donnell, as he examines the savings gained by switching to thin computing. Bob covers key points from IDC’s recent study and focuses particularly on the reduced management costs associated with thin computing.

Bob also explores the growth and development of the thin computing market place over the last several years. He forecasts thin computing growth through 2010 and also compares thin computing market expansion to that of desktop PCs in the enterprise. You will also receive a complimentary download of Bob O’Donnell’s Thin Computing ROI: The Untold Story.

What People Are Saying
"We found that deploying a Citrix server and Wyse thin computing was about 80% of the capital cost of deploying a traditional PC-based infrastructure. However, our operational and support costs fell by 60 to 70%."
