Get Informed: Five GNSS Essentials for Surveyors

Duration:
45 Minutes

GNSS—it's the new watchword in the world of satellite-enabled surveying. In fact, manufacturers, purchasers, and users of satellite-enabled surveying systems all seem to be talking about the new GPS signals L2C and L5; the Russian constellation, GLONASS; and the coming European system, Galileo. But while it's exciting to have all these new signals on the horizon, so to speak, what does it mean for surveyors in the field? And for those considering purchasing a GPS surveying system, is comprehensive GNSS support really worth the investment?

In this complimentary Webinar, Jim Greenberg, a widely experienced field surveyor and a GNSS applications engineer for Trimble Navigation Limited, will define GNSS, explain what satellite surveying changes are taking place, and discuss what practical field benefits surveyors should expect to experience from a GNSS system on the job. As someone with over a decade of surveying experience in diverse global environments, Jim will speak from that firsthand experience to give you insight into what every surveyor needs to know about GNSS.

In this Webinar, you will learn:
  • The terminology surrounding GNSS
  • What GNSS changes are on the horizon
  • How those GNSS changes will benefit surveyors in real, practical ways
