Kalman A. Chany is a nationally recognized expert on college funding and the president of Campus Consultants Inc., a Manhattan-based financial aid advisory firm he founded in 1981. He is also the author of Paying for College without Going Broke (Random House/ Princeton Review Publishing). With a foreword by former President Bill Clinton, this annually updated guidebook is currently in its fourteenth edition.
In addition to conducting and speaking at hundreds of seminars, Kal has also appeared on dozens of national television and radio programs, including “Good Morning America,” “NBC Nightly News” and National Public Radio. He is also frequently cited by major publications, such as The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, The New York Times, and Money. Kal has also developed content and calculator tools for the Princeton Review and has written articles for Family Money, Consumer Reports and Parade.
Kal served as the college funding expert for various on-line chat sessions sponsored by Money. He was interviewed for a Massachusetts Financial Services' college-funding Webcast and was also selected to be the first non-employee expert for a Consumer Reports on-line forum. In addition to providing personal financial aid and college funding consulting services to families and students, Kal has also served as an advisor to Sotheby’s and Bankers Trust for their scholarship programs.
